What is the IT Governance?
The IT governance is a framework for decision making and accountability that aligns IT resources, information, and organizations with enterprise management strategies and
objectives to gain competitive advantage. The purpose of the IT governance is to gain knowledge of important strategy in IT with understanding the issues in order to continue and operate organization’s strategies, so they can extend their activities into the future.

Why it is important ?
If an organization relies on IT, the vulnerability of the IT environment will become a problem for the enterprise. As dependency grows, enterprise should focus on IT governance to create business value through IT investment, manage IT risk, prevent and handle with it.
IT governance is the process, tool, method, and technique for management and control. Someone is subject to control and someone needs to use information to determine new processes and organizations that align with the company's strategy and goals. Therefore, well-constructed IT governance is a key to success the enterprise goals and strategy.

Do IT mangers have to know it?
IT manager is the one who have to care and follow the IT governance in order to make better profit. Successful deployment and operation of IT governance will be a challenge without understanding and carrying out the responsibilities and obligations of individuals.
